PHOTONICS

A smaller effort in our group is in the area of photonics research and increasingly in the intersection of magnetics and photonics- magnetophotonics. In the area of materials development, we are developing complex materials with photomagnetic functionality (stay tuned for publications). In the device/systems area, we have focused on passive optical devices and optical bench systems based on silicon.
