Hearst Memorial Mining Building Room 190 is the home of a wide variety of characterization equipment including a Digital Instruments/Veeco Dimension 3100 Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) with Magnetic Force Microscopy (MFM) capabilities, Lakeshore Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM), Quantum Design Superconducting Quantum Interference Device (SQUID) magnetometer, two Quantum Design Physical Property Measurement Systems (PPMS), wire bonder, the Suzuki computing center, chemical hoods, office space, sample storage, and various other facilities.![]()
