Resin coated copper foil material research and applications for high density interconnect including qualification of new source. Optimization of electroplating of copper for contacting of laser ablated microvias. Familiarity with all steps of PCB production

June - August 1998 Bayer AG Intern: Leverkusen Germany, Drying Technologies section of Technical Development department; modeling of drying processes using an ultrasound levitator (UL): design of a new reflector to allow for modeling of spray drying; advising of MIT Practice School Program Masters students on use and theory of UL. Familiarity with all types of industrial dryers used by Bayer AG.

June - August 1997 UCLA Center for Environmental Risk Reduction Intern: Research on plasma processing of semiconductor materials with the Atmospheric Pressure Plasma Jet (APPJ) under Prof. Robert hicks of the UCLA Chemical Engineering Dept. Studied the surface science of the etching process of the APPJ on polyimides as a function of imidization level using IR spectroscopic techniques. Familiarity with UHV chamber, spin-coater, UCLA Nanolab, compound semiconductor (III-V, II-VI) surface science
