Professor Devine on Bay Bridge Corrosion Issues

Professor Devine was consulted by the Sacramento Bee in their recent investigation concerning potential corrosion problems facing the new Bay Bridge.  The problem concerns the corrosion of the steel tendons that structurally support the bridge.  The Sacramento Bee investigation was published on May 18.

Rob Ritchie Awarded 2014 Acta Materialia Gold Medal

Rob Ritchie has been awarded the 2014 Acta Materialia Gold Medal Award.  This international award is given in recognition of research contributions and leadership in materials science.
